Who We Are
The idea of Nest Martial Arts started in 2014 and was successfully launched in 2020, right in the midst of the pandemic, proving that while we all go through ups and downs, no storm lasts forever.
The Nest is a martial arts, fitness and wellness studio with the focus on providing practical lifestyle enhancements to its members in a family friendly atmosphere. The Nest philosophy is: in order to practice martial arts as a whole, the members would need a place where they belonged and would have access to world-class techniques and training, regardless of whether they pursue the sport as a hobby or to test themselves in high level competitions.

Uniform Policy
Starting from January 6, 2024
- Every Saturday only the official Nest Uniform is allowed while training
- Jiu Jitsu Uniform colors:
- White
- Black
- Grey
- Royal Blue
- Outside affiliation patches or uniforms are not permitted. Must be void of any other team or school patches.
- Gi top and Pants should be the same color. Different colors are not permitted.
- Collar color should match the color of the Gi
- For hygiene purposes, the use of rash guards is required underneath your uniform.
Meet Our Coach
Amadu Jorge
Head Instructor
Amadu Jorge isn’t a figure of appearance but when it comes to work, we can’t neglect his. A Brazilian originally from Belo Horizonte and a business graduate, Amadu has dedicated 17 years to Jiu Jitsu, where 6 years have been with teaching the martial art in UAE. He is a Black Belt number #18 under Joaquim “Mamute” Ferreira, a Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhães straight student. As competitor, Professor Amadu has a long list of accolades; the most recent win was at the Asian Champion IBJJF 2023, 3rd at the prestigious European NOGI IBJJF and 4 x Golds at Manila IBJJF Open. As an instructor, Professor Amadu has a wealth of experience in teaching – from starting BJJ programs tailored for kids and adults to making regular practitioners of the sport into champions, lead ranking seasons and top 10 ranked students worldwide. All this alongside training MMA fighters. Professor Amadu uses his teachings to reinforce the main idea of Jiu Jitsu for everyone.
